Green and White Kansas Wedding

Real Weddings:

We see the most stunning brides! The first glimpse of the beautiful bride is one of our favorite parts of each wedding day.  Bri was absolutely breathtaking in her Celebrations of the Heart ceremony gown. It was accented perfectly by her white and green cascade bridal bouquet. Following the ceremony Bri did a quick change into her reception ball gown. We are with Bri, one dress is never enough!

Along came Abby decorated the Houston Street Ballroom in white and green, hanging paper lanterns throughout the space. We also created two boxwood backdrops ,complete with Lauren Heim calligraphy signs, to define the space for the sweets table and lemonade bar.

The “Fresh Squeezed” lemonade stand was been such a fun trend from the summer. We made sure guests had plenty of room to customize their lemonades with lots of fresh fruit, Grenadine, sprite and of course the option of spiking. We also loved that the bridal party was asked by the bride and groom to compete in a blindfolded dance off! An instant crowd, and Along Came Abby favorite. Bri & JT celebrated danced the night way with friends and family while DJ, Dave Lewis, kept the party hopping well into the night!

Congratulation Mr. & Mrs. Weers

Romantic Fall Wedding: Kansas

Real Weddings: Kaitlyn & Matt

Don’t get us wrong we LOVE spring and summer weddings… but fall weddings absolutely have our hearts; The warm color pallets, the fall florals and the earlier sunsets for those uber-romantic “Gold Hour” photos – yes please! While we work on the finishing touches for this years Along Came Abby fall brides & grooms, we thought we would take a minute to reminisce on one of our favorite fall weddings from last year!

Why we loved it? ….This wedding could not have been more romantic! The deep burgundy, navy blue’s and golds were stunning paired with lush floral and foliage by Lauren Quinn out of Salina, Kansas. To add to the romantic atmosphere, we used ivory rosette linens and gold manzanita trees with hanging votives to help bring the tall ceilings of the Alumni Center down.  The wedding party was every bit as ready to celebrate as Matt & Kaitlyn were – we love it when the wedding party knows how to have a great time! The Grandmarch through the K-State Alumni Center was a first, but it lead to a great night of dancing thanks to their DJ, Dave Lewis. Every detail of the day came together to showcase the love that Mr. and Mrs. Dobratz share and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

Pops of Pink – Kansas City Wedding

Real Weddings; Neely Jo & Jacob

These two high school sweethearts were married in Kansas City at the beautiful Town Pavilion. Their fabulous friends and supportive families helped to make the day a wonderful celebration of all things Neely Jo and Jacob.

To create a stunning ceremony and reception space we complimented the sleek lines of the atrium at Town Pavilion with silver chiavari chairs and hundreds of cylinder candles throughout the space. Pops of pink gave the silver, ivory and navy blue decor a playful edge.  Neely Jo was stunning with Jacob by her side, she sparkled as much as the dancing candlelight!

Winery Wedding – Kansas

Real Weddings: Caitlin & Travis

A year ago Caitlin and Travis were married in Manhattan, Kansas. Their winery wedding featured moody muted floral arrangements and greenery, from Kistner’s Flowers.  The day was an inspiration. Rose gold met wine barrels and each guests place setting was complete with a copper Moscow Mule mug. The Along Came Abby team paired subtle colors with a hint of sparkle on this couples head table. Liquid Art Winery and Estate did not disappoint with their gorgeous views of the Kansas prairie.

Happy 1st Anniversary Caitlin & Travis!

Dreams Do Come True

Real Weddings:  Taylor & Kirk

Paring true love, breezy colors and the sparkle of champagne made for a dreamy wedding day for Taylor and Kirk. The couple decided to tie the knot in Manhattan, KS and trusted all of the beautiful details to the Along Came Abby team. We loved seeing our specialty linens paired with our glass chargers and accents of Rose Gold sequin linens.  The couples bubble exit from their ceremony at First Presbyterian Church and sparkler exit after their reception at Manhattan Country Club were beautiful and memorable moments captured perfectly by the talented Alyssa Barletter Photography.
